How do I prepare for college in the TENTH GRADE?
Attend one of Ms. Simpson's college representative visits.
Get online and explore potential careers, majors, and schools.

Talk to family members, friends, and neighbors that have attended college.
If possible, explore a college town and get on campus.
Plan ahead and think about high school classes that will prepare you for college.
If you're ready for a challenge, consider an honors level course.

Focus on your academics...ask for help if you need it.
Work on developing strong study habits and organizational skills.
Take the PLAN and PSAT tests seriously...these will help you prepare for the real thing.
Know your GPA and familiarize yourself with what a high school transcript looks like.
Get involved in your community...join a club, volunteer, take up a hobby, or apply for a job.
Introduce yourself to your college adviser if you haven't already!
